LORI
|
Yoga
has been an integral part of Lori’s life for several
years and has seen her through many obstacles and challenges.
She sees yoga as a way to relax, rejuvenate and strengthen
the body and mind. Lori teaches Hatha and Power yoga and
has recently taken part in several Anusara yoga workshops.
She plans to become certified in the Anusara style this
year. Lori has a strong athletic background, playing competitive
sports from a young age and into university where she played
volleyball for the University of New Brunswick Reds. She
moved to British Columbia 12 years ago, fell in love with
the healthy lifestyle and way of life and decided to make
it her home. Her first yoga class happened by chance when
she decided to try it at the gym as another way to “work
out” She soon discovered that this ancient practice had
much more to offer. After practicing for 7 years she decided
to become certified and learn as much as she could about
yoga so that she could share her passion for it with others.
She hopes you’ll join her in her “Yatra” or spiritual journey
and share in the Love and Light that the practice of yoga
brings.
Lori is available for private lessons upon request.
“Yoga is invigoration in relaxation. Freedom in routine.
Confidence through self control. Energy within and
energy without”. ~Ymber Delecto

JACKIE K. |
Jackie’s passion for yoga began when she first stepped
onto the yoga mat in February 2007, with a simple goal of
rehabilitating from her broken wrist and broken foot. She
was blown away immediately by the inner strength and equanimity
yoga brought her by simply being present on the mat. Jackie
enjoys challenging her physical strength as a means to go
further to pursue her quest for inner peace and freedom.
Realizing how much yoga has affected her in so many positive
aspects, she decided to become a yoga teacher, hoping to
cultivate a similar passion in her students’ practice and
inspire them to open their hearts to embrace yoga into their
lives.

“We practice.
We float.
We tremble.
We sweat.
We are a community. Together we strengthen our bodies and
balance our minds.
We pursue peace and cultivate kindness. We believe that practicing
yoga is a catalyst for what we practice in our daily lives.
“ (- borrowed from Manduka Website )

With a background in dance, movement has always been a
big part of my life. I felt naturally drawn to yoga for
its physical benefits, but soon found myself returning to
the studio day after day for more than just that.
Addicted to the post-yoga-class feeling, I aspire to teach
classes that are both strengthening and calming. Inspired
by new students,
I look to bring a creative and playful flow to my classes,
and a nurturing environment for my students.

Camille Noel |
From Olympian to yogi! Camille has been teaching yoga since
2003. At 18, Camille was the youngest Canadian sprinter
to represent Canada at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. She
joined her first track club at the age of 8, and still holds
the BC High School record for the 400 m (53.66 s). After
high school, Camille went on to receive a full athletic
scholarship at UCLA, and continued running until 1996 when
an anterior labral tear in her right hip halted her career.
Left with both hip and ankle surgeries, her brother Eddison
introduced her to hot yoga and after completing 60 classes
in 60 consecutive days she became a hot yoga teacher in
2003. Camille has since completed her studies in Yoga Therapy
with Leila Stuart and became a Certified Yoga Trainer in
2009 under the guidance of Sandra Sammartino.
Camille enjoys teaching people how to find the freedom
and spaciousness in their own bodies so that they can get
a deeper sense of themselves.
